Joxilox Cape Tour March 2025

Joxilox Cape Tour March 2025 | Joxilox Tours Newsletter Β· March 2025 Joxilox Cape TourMarch 2025 By Lofty and Amanda π Our First Joxilox Cape Group Tour In February 2024 we had a very happy American guest who decided to book another tour with us. Last time it was a Big5 Naturist Group Tour which included Kruger, Pilanesberg and Dinokeng, but this time she decided to attend the Joxilox Cape Group Tour in March 2025. We were thrilled to have her back and grateful that she had told so many of her naturist friends about her Big5 Tour at her home (Lake Como Naturist Resort in Tampa, Florida) and when she was on the Big Nude Boat. Amanda and I drove down from SunEden, north of Pretoria, to Cape Town, in our 8-seater Kombi. We slept over at the Fish Eagle Lodge in Gariep Dam which unfortunately was textile, but very nice accommodation. We spent the next night at family in Cape Town and then we booked into Port Nature Houtbay on the Friday. If you have not been to Port Nature Houtbay, we suggest that you go there and meet the naturist owners, Craig and Nat (Natasha) who are lovely people. They have a 2 bedroomed chalet and a 1 bedroomed cottage so there is place for 3 couples. We unpacked and then went through to the airport to pick up the guests. We have previously taken guests on a private tour from Port Elizabeth to Cape Town including the beautiful Garden Route, but this was our first Joxilox Cape Group Tour. It was also the first time that our guests flew straight from Atlanta to Cape Town and back. We were excited as we waited for them at the airport. Our guests were impressed with the accommodation and especially the warm welcome from Craig and Nat. Our first 7 nights were spent at Port Nature Houtbay but our first full day (Saturday) was a day of rest after the long flight. We spent time at the perfectly clear swimming pool, and we tanned for a few hours. Nat supplied the meals which included a delicious South African Braai done by Craig. Our guests always enjoy a braai. On that Sunday, the weather was sunny, so we decided to go to the Sandy Bay Naturist Beach which is not far from Houtbay. Having said that, it is a long walk from the car park to the beach. I was hoping that the Atlantic Ocean would be warmer in February and March, but it was freezing cold. Some of the local Western Province Naturists stopped for a chat and it was super to catch up with them. The itinerary from the Monday was busy, including Table Mountain, Bo Kaap, V&A Waterfront Boat Cruise, another boat cruise to Seal Island, Boulders Penguins, Cape Point, Spiced Route Wine, Spirits and chocolate tasting and of course a drive at Chapman’s Peak. Each day, breakfast was supplied by Nat at Port Nature Houtbay and we had lunch and dinner at restaurants. The Journey Continues West Coast & Garden Route On the Friday, after 7 days in Cape Town, we headed for the West Coast via Table Bay and Bloubergstrand. That view of the sea and Table Mountain is beautiful. We went to KhwaTtu, where our guests went on a tour of the Khoisan Museum and Facilities where we had lunch. We then booked into their very luxurious chalets which have hot tubs and privacy. In the next few days, we went to Paternoster, Langebaan and surrounding areas and we went on a catamaran cruise and a safari (game drive). From the West Coast we headed for the Garden Route via Darling and Ceres with a lunch stop and safari at the Aquila Game Reserve. We arrived at the Bare Necessities Naturist Farm, near Swellendam, in time for a scrumptious dinner supplied by our good friends, Neels and Petro, the owners, who were previously shareholders and homeowners at SunEden. Their food is good and the welcome and hospitality is well known. While we stayed at Bare Necessities, we went all the way to Plettenberg Bay via Knysna where we stopped at The Heads. The next day, we went on the famous and most beautiful mountain passes from Barrydale to Oudtshoorn via Ronnies Sex Shop which everybody knows, has nothing to do with sex. We had a nice chat to Ronnie and his wife and one of our guests bought some shirts. The guests then enjoyed the Cango Caves and Ostriches. On the 3rd day they enjoyed another safari (game drive) on the Garden Route which they really enjoyed despite rain. At Bare Necessities, they milked cows, spent time in the hot tub and they enjoyed the chats with Neels. From Bare Necessities, we headed for Houtbay, via Cape Agulhas and Hermanus and we drove via Betty’s Bay to Gordon’s Bay on arguably the most beautiful drive in South Africa. The last 2 nights of the tour were spent at Port Nature Houtbay, where our guests could rest and pack their luggage before we sadly said goodbye to them at the airport. Moments from the Tour Photo Gallery Where We Went Tour Destinations Port Nature Houtbay 7 nights with naturist hosts Craig and Nat β pool, braai and warm hospitality. Joxilox Tours Visit to the Eastern and Western Cape June 2024

Joxilox Tours Visit to the Eastern and Western Cape β June 2024 | Joxilox Tours Newsletter Β· June 2024 Joxilox Tours Visit to theEastern and Western Cape By Lofty and Amanda πΊοΈ 4,000km Research Trip Β· June 2024 We have often been asked by our partners in Europe to arrange a Cape Group Tour and so we went to Cape Town and to the West Coast in December/January this year to do research, but we were unable to do research on the Garden Route and in the Eastern Cape until April. It was impossible to see accommodation and to arrange meetings on the Garden Route in December and January. Those places are much too busy in those months. In our previous article there was a misunderstanding regarding what we tried to convey. The Western Cape naturists and naturist associations saw the article, not in a positive light, although we are trying to get various naturist groups to work together. This was not done intentionally, and we offer our sincere apology. We hope the people that felt offended, will publish articles in the SANNA Newsletter in future to update us all about their progress, their goals, and their events. We sincerely wish them all the very best regarding their plans. THE POLICY OF JOXILOX TOURS IS TO SUPPORT ALL NEW AND EXISTING NATURIST RESORTS, NATURIST GUESTHOUSES, NATURIST ASSOCIATIONS AND NATURIST GROUPS. We have had numerous meetings and workshops with owners and members who truly appreciated our input and advice. We believe that new and existing naturist resorts, naturist guesthouses, naturist associations and naturist groups need to work together, and we believe that they need ALL THE SUPPORT that they can get. It is not easy to increase numbers β membership, sales, and profit, especially in the first 3 years. It is even more difficult if it is done part time by volunteers. Let’s get back to business. Joxilox Tours is always searching for naturist and/or naturist friendly accommodation for our group tours which are normally between 6 and 16 people β and some are single naturists who do not want to share a bedroom. That is a HUGE challenge for us especially in the Eastern and Western Cape provinces. That means that we need between 3 and 10 bedrooms or chalets and ALL ACCOMMODATION NEEDS TO BE DELUXE AND THEY NEED TO HAVE EN-SUITE BATHROOMS. None of our guests want to share a bathroom. Of course, the guests want to skinny dip and they like to spend as much time as possible nude. If you know of accommodation that fits that description, PLEASE LET US KNOW! Kindly send an email to lofty@joxilox.com. We managed to find numerous private game reserves in the Eastern and Western Cape areas, and we made appointments to see some of the accommodation, to see the privacy (or lack of privacy) and to find out about the excursions such as game drives (safaris). Our research determined that the accommodation prices are higher there because there are no options for self-catering. All provide 3 meals per day (Full Board) and 2 compulsory game drives per day. We would still book at those places but there are none that are private enough to go nude. We are fortunate to have perfect, affordable accommodation in the Kruger National Park Area. The other difference is that the BIG5 animals advertised there are not seen as much compared to Kruger, Pilanesberg or Dinokeng Game Reserves. We concluded that the nice Cape wines consumed on the game drives, make up for the shortage of wild animals. In Cape Town we have access to 2 naturist guesthouses which we will book for our tours. Regarding the areas outside Cape Town, we have managed to find some accommodation which can become “naturist” if we book at least half of the bedrooms/chalets which we are happy to do. Some are surrounded by wine farms and so we can go on wine tasting excursions within walking distance from the accommodation. On the Road Bare Necessities, Wilderness & the Naked Truth While we were doing our research, we stayed at naturist accommodation – Bare Necessities near Swellendam. We have known Neels and Petro of BN for more than 10 years. They previously owned a house at SunEden. It is impossible to spend time at BN without being spoilt with very tasty meals and we had long discussions about naturism of course. You will not meet a nicer couple. If you have not been to Bare Necessities, we suggest that you go there. Yes, naked Amanda did milk a cow and our 33,300 Joxilox followers on X (Twitter) loved the picture. After that we stayed in Wilderness where there is unfortunately no naturist accommodation. We had a meeting with a naturist in the George/Mossel Bay area who will hopefully promote naturism in that area. We then drove to Port Elizabeth where we stayed with Chris and Karen, the owners of the Naked Truth Naturist Guesthouse. We have also known them for more than 10 years. We were reminded about that time, 10 years ago, when Serge and I (Lofty) – representing SANNA, visited Chris and Vaughn to discuss the possibility of establishing the Eastern Cape Naturist Association (ECNA) in PE. It was never established because they need more potential members, but Chris has been a member of the SANNA MANCO since then β representing the naturists from the Eastern Cape. About 6 years ago, Amanda and I joined about 8 of the Eastern Cape naturists at the Tsitsikamma Lodge where we hiked on the Striptease Trail. We were meant to strip slowly as we hiked from pool to pool but of course all of us were experienced naturists who did not wait until the final pool β which is called the Full Monty (or Kaalgat Pool). The Honeymoon Pool, Boobs Pool and other pools were nice but who likes wet, uncomfortable clothing on our bodies? NOBODY! The self-catering accommodation at Naked Truth was “WOW” so we highly recommend
Joxilox Big 5 Safari Group Tour March 2024

Joxilox Big5 Group Tour, March 2024 | Joxilox Tours Newsletter Β· March 2024 Joxilox Big5 Group Tour,March 2024 By Lofty and Amanda π¦ The Very First Joxilox Big5 Safari Group Tour! As Tour Operators, we quickly learnt that many of our international guests want to see the Big5 wild animals (Elephants, Rhinos, Buffaloes, Lions and Leopards) and most of the guests have heard about the Kruger National Park in South Africa. In the past we have taken guests to the Dinokeng Game Reserve which is only a 30 minute drive from SunEden and to the Pilanesberg Game Reserve which is a 2,5-hour drive from SunEden. We had never arranged tours in the Kruger National Park which is about a 6-hour drive from SunEden. That got us thinking, why don’t we arrange a Big5 Safari Group Tour which can go to Kruger, Pilanesberg and Dinokeng. We did research, and the Joxilox Big5 Safari Group Tour was born. We found accommodation near all 3 of the game reserves which was either naturist or naturist friendly and nudity was possible if we booked enough rooms. The first tour was arranged for March, 2024. We had an enquiry from 3 persons who are from Lake Como, the famous naturist resort in Florida, USA. They wanted to attend the February Naked Tour and they also wanted to attend the Big5 Safari Tour. We also received enquiries from a French couple and a single lady from the USA for the March 2024 Big5 Safari Group Tour. We arranged a special Big5 Tour in the last 2 weeks of February for the first group of 3 and another Big5 Tour in the first 2 weeks of March 2024 for the other group of 3. Our Joxilox Tour business has been growing nicely and so we decided to buy a second-hand VW Kombi, which is an 8-Seater Mini-Bus. We could easily fit 5 including Amanda and myself into the new transport. Expensive, hired Mini-Busses were now a thing of the past. We kept our double cab bakkie for additional transport. The weather was very hot and sunny for both Big5 Safari Tours with occasional rain at night. Our Marloth Park/Kruger accommodation was perfect, and many wild animals and birds visited us at the house every day. We were nude most of the time there. We also went on EARLY MORNING Game Drives in Kruger each morning. Our tour guide, Glen, who owns Southern Kruger Safaris, is amazing and highly experienced so we saw everything on our long list except for Cheetahs, which we saw at Dinokeng. There was load shedding sometimes but luckily there were inverters and batteries which ensured that we had power for WiFi and fans etc. At Marloth Park we had dinners at various restaurants and our guests were suitably impressed. At Pilanesberg, the Italian owner of the guesthouse is a highly experienced chef, so the food is always delicious there. We spend most of the time nude in the guesthouse and skinny dipping. We often stop for lunch on our way, so we stop at places like Alzu where our guests saw Rhinos, Buffaloes and various types of bucks. On the way, we surprised our guests by taking them to the Lesedi Cultural Village for the cultural show and for the African Food (Including Kudu, Crocodile, and other types of meat). Some of our guests also went to the Lion and Cheetah Sanctuary, near SunEden, where they stroked a Cheetah. We had breakfast at Veldjie Kiosk in Dinokeng which included “Rooster Koek” and “Moer Koffie”. Our guests really enjoyed the tours because many have already booked tours to be held later this year and for tours in 2025. In November this year we will host a couple from Germany for the 5th time. Our guests have mostly become our close friends. Naturists on a Big5 Safari Tour in Africa β nude in nature – what more could you wish for? Please see our Group Tours at www.joxilox.com. Joxilox Naked Group Tour Feb 2024

Joxilox Naked Group Tour, February 2024 | Joxilox Tours Newsletter Β· February 2024 Joxilox Naked Group Tour,February 2024 By Lofty and Amanda πΏ The Very First Joxilox Naked Group Tour! In March, 2023, we were chatting to an Australian couple who were attending our Mpumalanga and North West Tour and they mentioned that our tours are great but that they wished that they only stayed at naturist accommodation β rather than at some textile accommodation. That got us thinking, why don’t we arrange a Naked Tour which can go to 4 different naturist resorts. We did our research, and the Joxilox Naked Group Tour was born. The first tour was arranged for February, 2024. We normally have a maximum of 8 people on our group tours, but we received bookings for 9 guests which we were happy to accept. There were 3 people from the USA, a couple from Sweden, a couple from Britain and of course, the Australian couple who had planted the Naked Tour idea. The tour started at SunEden on Friday, 8th February and the 9 guests rested on the Saturday and Sunday. There are always a lot of shareholders and locals at SunEden on weekends and so our international tourists got to know some of them. As usual, the comments were mostly about how friendly everybody is and what lovely facilities there are at SunEden. On the Monday, we drove to Lauma Aurora, between Bela Bela and Thabazimbi. The owners are Lourens and Sonette and they really know how to make everybody feel welcome. We arrived in time for lunch and within a few minutes lunch was served. The dinner was a special South African dish β Oxtail. Loadshedding was new to our guests but the meals were served on time. Tuesday was a relaxing day so the outdoor and indoor pools were popular and some of our guests played pool, darts, mini-golf and some board games. Others read books and read the South African Naturism Book. Our guests enjoyed their first braai (barbeque) that night despite rain, thunder and lightning. The food was excellent. The following day was Wednesday, 14th February, which was of course was Valentine’s Day and we were spoilt with a Special Valentine’s Breakfast which included heart shaped watermelon pieces. The food was great, and the hosts were super β we left after the delicious breakfast, and we were sad to say goodbye to Lourens and Sonette. Our next excursion was “Adventures With Elephants” β not far from Lauma Aurora. Our guests really enjoyed the “show”. The elephants did all sorts of tricks including dancing, remembering names, matching shoes with our guests, hugs by our guests and of course the surprise water shower from the trunks of the elephants. Our Valentine’s Lunch was at the Beestekraal Station Restaurant about 34kms from Brits, with heart shaped Lindt Chocolates arranged by Amanda with the owner of the restaurant. We arrived at Kiepersolkloof in time for dinner which was a choice of either Lamb or Chicken Potjie. Our guests really enjoyed the meal. Wynand and Zelda were great hosts, and they certainly impressed our guests. On the Thursday, JJ and Maryke arrived and they were kind enough to take our tourists on an enjoyable hike. The Kiepersolkloof farm is more than 200 Hectares and there are great hikes. The braai on the Thursday night was enjoyed by everybody and we were pleased that some of the shareholders joined us for the dinners. On the Friday morning, we enjoyed a big breakfast and then we drove to SunEden for the Valentine’s Weekend. Our guests saw SunEden when it was very busy, and some enjoyed the dancing on the Saturday night. On the Sunday, we drove to Bird Of Paradise in Vanderbijlpark where we were welcomed by Dave and Deon. Everything was perfect. They are known for delicious food, great service and attention to detail. We had another braai on the Sunday night and Paella on the Monday night (their signature dish). The two-hour boat cruise was fantastic, and it included delicious platters for lunch. On the way back to SunEden, we surprised our guests by taking them to the Lesedi Cultural Village for the show and for the African Food (Including Kudu, Crocodile and other types of meat). The final 3 days of the Naked Tour were spent at SunEden and included a few Safaris (Game Drives) where our guests saw 3 of the Big5 β Elephants, Rhinos and Lions. They also saw Cheetahs, Giraffes, Zebras, Wildebeest, Impalas, Springboks, Warthogs and other animals. Naturists on a NAKED TOUR in AFRICA β what more could you wish for? Please see www.joxilox.com. Joxilox Feathered Nest Visit Dec 2023

Joxilox Tours Visit to the Feathered Nest Naturist Friendly Guest Farm | Joxilox Tours Resort Review Β· December 2023 Joxilox Tours Visit to the Feathered NestNaturist Friendly Guest Farm By Lofty of Joxilox Tours πΏ Solo Day Visit Β· Rustenburg Area Β· 17 December 2023 We noticed a North-West Naturist Association post on Social Media, regarding a NEW naturist friendly guest farm situated in the Rustenburg area. At Joxilox Tours we are always looking for new naturist friendly accommodation. JJ kindly sent pics and contact details to us and as soon as there was an opportunity, I contacted the owner, Martin, to arrange a day visit to see the place. Amanda was away in New Zealand visiting her family so I decided to visit the Feathered Nest guest farm on Sunday, 17th December, 2023. Martin kindly sent a pin to me, and I headed in that direction from the Magaliesberg side. After passing the turnoff to Harmony it was still quite a long way until I saw the Olifantsnek Dam on the right and the GPS took me left onto the Boons Road. It was a tar road, so I was happy until the GPS took me left again onto a gravel road. After about 5kms it took me left again towards the farm. The owner, Martin, was waiting for me at the gate and after introductions I followed him on his quad bike to the parking area, where I was introduced to Marion, who is Martin’s business partner and part owner of the guest farm. Both Marion and Martin have extensive tour guide and tour operator experience and so we clicked immediately. After some discussions, Martin showed me the accommodation and facilities which can only be described as “WOW”. There are 4 stand-alone houses which each have a bath and an outdoor shower (hot and cold water) and very private. The accommodation was way better than most of the other accommodation which we have seen at naturist friendly places. There are plenty of trees between the houses, so guests are really in the bush where it feels as though time stands still as you forget about business and about stress. All accommodation prices include DINNER, BED AND BREAKFAST (Half Board) so keep in mind that the cooking/meals are included and they are also “WOW”. The Management at Feathered Nest have a mission to treat their guests like they are royalty β only the best is good enough and they are proud about their “ATTENTION TO DETAIL” which includes all sorts of surprises which are highly confidential, but I will give you a tip β think chocolates β shhh. They have an HONESTY BAR with no barman, so you help yourself to your favourite refreshments and you just make a note in the book. The swimming pool looked good with clear, sparkling water. They also look after the “orphans” in the area so do not be surprised if you see a small bush-baby or an owl or any bird or animal needing rehabilitation. They often adopt that injured or unwanted bird or animal and they let them go again once they are ready to leave. What was my impression? Good quality accommodation, lovely people, great food ALL at a reasonable price β not cheap. There are no camping facilities. If you can afford the prices, you will not be sorry β book now! Joxilox OUMA

Our Visit to OUMA (Lauma Aurora) | Joxilox Tours Resort Review Β· Lauma Aurora Our Visit to OUMA(Lauma Aurora) By Lofty and Amanda πΏ Naturist Bush Camp Β· Between Bela Bela & Thabazimbi We are always very happy when we hear that a new Naturist Resort has opened and so when we saw a new naturist venue on Social Media, called Lauma Aurora, we were very excited. We contacted the owners, and we introduced Joxilox Tours to them. They were very friendly, and they said that we were more than welcome to go there to see the place and to take pictures. Christo, the SANNA Chairman, had also contacted them but when we discussed the venue, we could not remember the name, Lauma Aurora, so we referred to the resort as OUMA. It sounded good when we said that we are going to OUMA for a visit. A few weeks later Amanda and I arranged a day visit to meet the owners in person and we asked Christo and Lana if they would like to join us which they agreed to do. The weather was rainy and cool, but we thought that it might be sunny by the time we arrived at OUMA which is between Bela Bela and Thabazimbi. We drove through some large puddles on the gravel road, and we can only blame Waze for taking us to the wrong side of the OUMA Farm. After a phone call we found our way to the correct entrance. Despite the cool, rainy, weather the welcome was warm when we were greeted by the owners. After a tour of the resort, we were told that Lauma Aurora (OUMA) is a BUSH CAMP for naturists and NOT a naturist resort. They have naturist weekends and textile weekends. The plan is to increase the naturist weekends if there is a demand. There are 6 cabins β 2 thatched brick buildings and 4 wooden log cabins. Four are for couples and two cabins also have single beds for a couple and two children or for two couples. There is therefore place for a maximum of 8 couples. Two of the cabins have private Jacuzzis. Once the naturists start to support the business, then the owners are prepared to build ablutions for camping sites. We were very impressed with the facilities. There is a heated pool under cover and an outdoor pool in the sun. A thatched shaded area next to the pool area provides shade on a hot day. The reception area has a dart board, a pool table and some board games. The pub and restaurant are really nice and breakfast is included in the accommodation price. The Boma is the place where the guests have a braai and a bonfire. We were invited to the home of the owners where we enjoyed some fruit juice. We offered them our support and Christo handed a book on naturism to the owners. We also suggested that they visit SunEden sometime. A few weeks later, the daughter of the owners, together with her husband, popped around at SunEden for discussions and refreshments. Return Visit The April Weekend β Bonfires, Braais & the Fisherman’s Song We noticed that Lauma Aurora (OUMA), was advertising a Valentine’s Weekend and Christo, Lana, Francois, Marique, Amanda and I booked cabins for that event. The Valentine’s event also included a braai on the Saturday night and breakfast on the Saturday and Sunday mornings. We paid and we received confirmation. Unfortunately, there were major floods on that Valentine’s Weekend and so it was cancelled. We did not ask for a refund, we decided to book on another weekend once the weather improved. We booked a cabin at OUMA for the weekend of 14th to 16th April and we posted an advert on Social Media hoping that some of our friends would join us. After a few days, Wynand and Zelda let us know that they had booked for that weekend. We were also joined by Eddie, the GNA Chairman and his partner, Gail and another couple had booked but we were not sure if we knew them. It turned out that we knew them and they were a very nice couple. The weather forecast prediction was sunny and hot for that weekend and so we decided to get there by 12:00 midday on the Friday. Eddie and Gail arrived just after us and Wynand and Zelda an hour later. The daughter of the owners then arrived with her husband and then the 4th Couple arrived as the sun was setting. By then we were sitting around the fire in the boma. There was a lot of joking and laughing which is the reason that there is a saying in Afrikaans: “ons gaan NOU braai”. When we are having a good time, we put off the braai-ing until later. We all had dinner and then we added the logs onto the fire and we made a proper bonfire. On the Saturday morning we had breakfast in the restaurant and despite load shedding, the breakfast was perfect. At Ouma, breakfast is included in the price of the accommodation. After breakfast, the GNA Chairman, Eddie, had a meeting with the owners to discuss GNA membership and benefits and the rest of us tanned at the pool. The real Ouma (owner) challenged us to skinny dip in the cold-water pool and Amanda accepted the challenge followed by others. We tanned for a few hours and then we all went to our cabins for a light lunch. That afternoon there was light rain for a few minutes but by sunset, it was sunny and warm, so we decided to braai again. We sang the Fisherman’s Song after a few beers and a good time was had by all. On Sunday morning, the weather was cloudy and cool. We enjoyed another perfect breakfast in the restaurant and then we slowly packed up and said our goodbyes. Will we go back to OUMA again? Yes, for sure.
Joxilox Palm Beach Chalets

Our Visit to Palm Beach Chalets and Mpenjati Naturist Friendly Beach | Joxilox Tours Resort Review Β· KwaZulu-Natal South Coast Our Visit to Palm Beach Chaletsand Mpenjati Naturist Friendly Beach By Lofty of Joxilox Tours π 7 Nights Β· KZN South Coast Β· July Winter is not always the best time to go to the South Coast but that did not stop us. We contacted Mandy, the owner of the Palm Beach Chalets and she was very pleasant and super-efficient. We knew that it is textile accommodation unless we book all 3 chalets in which case, we could be nude. With Mpenjati Naturist Friendly Beach just down the road, we decided that we could go textile at the chalet and then we could spend time nude at the Mpenjati Naturist Beach. We booked for 7 nights in July, and we looked forward our short holiday there. We had a lucky week there because there were no other guests, so we were able to go nude anyway. On the second day we decided to drive to the Oribi Gorge and Leopard Rock. The drive was pleasant, and the scenery was beautiful. The restaurant had great food, fast service and there was a stunning view. We also went to the Red Desert, which is the smallest desert in the world. On the Saturday morning we parked at the Mpenjati North side, and we went on a walk at the Mpenjati Reserve. There is a wooden look-out point on the walk which overlooks the Mpenjati estuary. It was a very enjoyable walk and it had been well maintained. There was a lot of birdlife and plenty of trees and bushes. The wild bucks are often there as well. We enjoyed the walk with a very local lady who certainly knows everything about the Mpenjati area. We also walked on the actual Mpenjati Naturist Beach. There was only 1 naturist tanning nude there. On the Sunday, we decided to go back to the Mpenjati Beach for a swim and to see if there were any naturists there. There was another one naturist there but a local guy, Nicolaas, arrived with his dog. Most of the naturists know him because he is really a nice guy, and he does all sorts of exercises on the beach (nude of course). I had a long chat to him about naturism and about the law. He is really on the ball, I had appreciated his help and support a few years ago when the Deputy Public Protector was on the beach with us during the investigations about the legality of the Mpenjati Naturist Friendly Beach. The pastor who had complained about the nudist beach was there and I am 100% sure that Nicolaas knows the bible better than the pastor. He was happy to quote versus of the bible and the pastor was out of his depth in my opinion. Nicolaas had also been a witness in a court case regarding naturists at Mpenjati and the findings were NOT GUILTY, and all costs were paid by the person who had complained about the nudity. As most of us know, the Public Protector gave the municipality 30 days to withdraw the approval of the Mpenjati Naturist Beach which they did. It is therefore NOT AN OFFICIAL NUDIST BEACH, so we are always careful not to offend anybody. The only way to have a legal nudist beach in South Africa is to have the Act amended which bans public nudity. To get that Act amended would be possible but highly unlikely, as long as church groups are going to object to nudity in public β like on a nudist beach. That beach has been used by naturists for over 30 years and it will be used for the next 30 years as well. When we arrived back at the Palm Beach Chalets the weather was hot, so I tanned nude for a few hours. We had a braai that night. The 3 chalets are very affordable and value for the price compared to other accommodation in the area. Each chalet has a main bedroom with a queen-sized bed, a bathroom with a shower, a toilet and a hand basin. The kitchen is well equipped and there is a breakfast nook. There are single beds or double bunks in the lounge area which has a TV. There is a built-in braai outside with plastic garden furniture. The pool was clean and there was a tanning bed. Joxilox North West and Mpumalanga Group Tour November 2023 | Joxilox Tours Newsletter Β· November 2023 Joxilox North West andMpumalanga Group TourNovember 2023 By Lofty and Amanda π 9 International Guests Β· 14 Nights Β· November 2023 Since Covid arrived in March, 2020, international tourism went through a difficult time, which lasted almost 3 years. We are pleased to see that tourism is almost back to normal despite wars in some countries and despite load shedding and other problems in South Africa. We were thrilled to have 9 international guests here in November 2023. We had guests from Netherlands, Germany, Britain, New Zealand and Denmark. The first couple arrived on 1st November and the last couple left on 23rd November. The actual Group Tour was for 14 nights from 3rd to 17th November. All tours start and end at SunEden and we supply Full Board which means that we provided 3 meals per day. Many of those meals were at the SunCafe of SunEden but our tourists also had meals at 10 other restaurants in those 2 weeks. The tour started with 3 nights at SunEden including Game Drives (safaris) in the Dinokeng Game Reserve and then we went to Pilanesberg Game Reserve for 2 nights with visits to the Maropeng Cradle of Humankind on the way there and to the Lesedi Cultural Village on the way back. We booked the whole guesthouse at Pilanesberg, so we were able to skinny dip and to go nude while we were there. We went on 2 game drives (safaris) β each of 3 hours. We then went to the Cullinan Diamond Mine before spending another weekend at SunEden. That weekend was Clothing Optional, and our guests enjoyed the Karaoke on the Friday night and the Jazz and Wine event on the Saturday. Some of our guests enjoyed a massage under the trees near the SunEden pool. They also enjoyed walks around the perimeter and through the golf course. They could also watch the Springboks and Blesboks from the Bird Hide. On the next Monday we went to Graskop with stops at Alzu where we saw Rhinos, Buffaloes and numerous buck types and then we had lunch at Kumi in Schoemanskloof on the way to Graskop. We stayed at Graskop for 3 nights where we had great food and of course we went to Blyde River Canyon, Bourke’s Luck Potholes, God’s Window, Lisbon Falls and the Graskop Gorge where our one guest went on the Zip Lines. The weather at Graskop was sometimes rainy, cloudy and misty but we managed to get great pictures at all the excursions. Our guests looked forward to the relaxation at SunEden after the tour. According to our guests, SunEden is a world class naturist resort with great accommodation, great facilities, great weather, and great excursions nearby. Amanda and I are pleased that our guests enjoyed the tour, and we are grateful that we already have some bookings for our January, February and March 2024 Group Tours.
