Lion resting in the grass โ€“ Joxilox Naked Group Tour February 2024
๐ŸŒฟ The Very First Joxilox Naked Group Tour!

In March, 2023, we were chatting to an Australian couple who were attending our Mpumalanga and North West Tour and they mentioned that our tours are great but that they wished that they only stayed at naturist accommodation โ€“ rather than at some textile accommodation. That got us thinking, why don't we arrange a Naked Tour which can go to 4 different naturist resorts.

We did our research, and the Joxilox Naked Group Tour was born. The first tour was arranged for February, 2024. We normally have a maximum of 8 people on our group tours, but we received bookings for 9 guests which we were happy to accept. There were 3 people from the USA, a couple from Sweden, a couple from Britain and of course, the Australian couple who had planted the Naked Tour idea.

The tour started at SunEden on Friday, 8th February and the 9 guests rested on the Saturday and Sunday. There are always a lot of shareholders and locals at SunEden on weekends and so our international tourists got to know some of them. As usual, the comments were mostly about how friendly everybody is and what lovely facilities there are at SunEden.

On the Monday, we drove to Lauma Aurora, between Bela Bela and Thabazimbi. The owners are Lourens and Sonette and they really know how to make everybody feel welcome. We arrived in time for lunch and within a few minutes lunch was served. The dinner was a special South African dish โ€“ Oxtail. Loadshedding was new to our guests but the meals were served on time. Tuesday was a relaxing day so the outdoor and indoor pools were popular and some of our guests played pool, darts, mini-golf and some board games. Others read books and read the South African Naturism Book.

Our guests enjoyed their first braai (barbeque) that night despite rain, thunder and lightning. The food was excellent. The following day was Wednesday, 14th February, which was of course was Valentine's Day and we were spoilt with a Special Valentine's Breakfast which included heart shaped watermelon pieces. The food was great, and the hosts were super โ€“ we left after the delicious breakfast, and we were sad to say goodbye to Lourens and Sonette.

Our next excursion was "Adventures With Elephants" โ€“ not far from Lauma Aurora. Our guests really enjoyed the "show". The elephants did all sorts of tricks including dancing, remembering names, matching shoes with our guests, hugs by our guests and of course the surprise water shower from the trunks of the elephants. Our Valentine's Lunch was at the Beestekraal Station Restaurant about 34kms from Brits, with heart shaped Lindt Chocolates arranged by Amanda with the owner of the restaurant.

We arrived at Kiepersolkloof in time for dinner which was a choice of either Lamb or Chicken Potjie. Our guests really enjoyed the meal. Wynand and Zelda were great hosts, and they certainly impressed our guests. On the Thursday, JJ and Maryke arrived and they were kind enough to take our tourists on an enjoyable hike. The Kiepersolkloof farm is more than 200 Hectares and there are great hikes. The braai on the Thursday night was enjoyed by everybody and we were pleased that some of the shareholders joined us for the dinners. On the Friday morning, we enjoyed a big breakfast and then we drove to SunEden for the Valentine's Weekend. Our guests saw SunEden when it was very busy, and some enjoyed the dancing on the Saturday night.

On the Sunday, we drove to Bird Of Paradise in Vanderbijlpark where we were welcomed by Dave and Deon. Everything was perfect. They are known for delicious food, great service and attention to detail. We had another braai on the Sunday night and Paella on the Monday night (their signature dish). The two-hour boat cruise was fantastic, and it included delicious platters for lunch.

On the way back to SunEden, we surprised our guests by taking them to the Lesedi Cultural Village for the show and for the African Food (Including Kudu, Crocodile and other types of meat). The final 3 days of the Naked Tour were spent at SunEden and included a few Safaris (Game Drives) where our guests saw 3 of the Big5 โ€“ Elephants, Rhinos and Lions. They also saw Cheetahs, Giraffes, Zebras, Wildebeest, Impalas, Springboks, Warthogs and other animals.
