The Isle of Beauty β where some of the longest naturist beaches in Europe meet wild mountain landscapes, Corsican maquis and the crystal Mediterranean.
Corsica Β· Naturist directory
Corsica β the Γle de BeautΓ© β is one of Europe's most extraordinary naturist destinations. A French island in the Mediterranean, it combines the wildness of a mountain landscape with one of the longest naturist beaches on the continent: a five-kilometre stretch of white sand on the east coast shared by several of the finest naturist resorts in France.
The island's naturist infrastructure is well-established and widely respected. France has long been the world's leading naturist tourism destination, and Corsica represents some of its finest β remote, scenic, unhurried and completely genuine.
Where to find them
Corsica's naturist geography
Bagheera is widely regarded as the jewel of Corsican naturism β a 4-star naturist campsite and holiday village set on 100 hectares of unspoilt land at the edge of the Linguizzetta beach, one of the largest naturist beaches in France. The resort sits in an immense eucalyptus and cork oak forest that runs right down to the sand, giving every pitch and rental unit a sense of being tucked into wild nature rather than a developed resort.
Accommodation ranges from 190 shaded camping pitches β beachfront, forest or more isolated wilderness spots β to 78 holiday rentals including villas, chalets, mini-villas and mobile homes sleeping up to six. Two restaurants serve Mediterranean cuisine from the ocean terrace and the beach bar, the latter with wood-fired pizza and views that stop conversation. Activities are abundant: aqua-gym, sauna, yoga, diving, paddling, windsurfing, bikes, pedalos, a fitness trail and children's programmes. Bagheera also holds the Green Key eco-label and European Ecolabel, growing its own vegetables on site and sourcing locally wherever possible.
Club Corsicana occupies its own stretch of the Linguizzetta naturist beach, sitting between Bagheera to the north and Riva Bella to the south. It is a smaller, more focused resort β rentals only, no camping pitches β with a relaxed beach bar, a sailing school and direct access to the shared five-kilometre naturist beach that the east coast resorts all look out on.
The atmosphere is distinctly convivial, with a predominantly German-speaking guest mix that has returned season after season for decades. If you are looking for something more intimate and less resort-style than its larger neighbours, Club Corsicana delivers: fewer amenities, more beach, and a genuinely unhurried atmosphere.
Corsica Natura is a smaller, quieter naturist campsite on the Linguizzetta beach near the village of San-Nicolao, nestled into Corsican pine forest just steps from the sea. With around 98 pitches and a selection of wooden bungalows, it is a simpler and more affordable alternative to the larger resorts on the same beach β popular with guests who want to feel genuinely embedded in the Corsican landscape rather than in a resort complex.
The campsite has a beachside restaurant and bar serving local flavours, a supermarket, playground, laundrette and WiFi. Pets are welcome throughout. Water sports, horse riding and canyoning are all accessible nearby. The multilingual team (French, German, English) makes it accessible for international visitors, and the pine forest setting with its constant sea breeze and cicada soundtrack is considered one of the highlights of a stay.
At the southern end of the Linguizzetta naturist beach β just north of the ancient Corsican capital AlΓ©ria β Riva Bella is a 4-star naturist resort spread across 79 hectares of extraordinary natural diversity. The estate encompasses the beach, the protected Terrenzana saltwater lagoon (home to flamingos, herons, egrets and buzzards), Corsican maquis and forested hills. To be here is to feel genuinely embedded in a living ecosystem.
Riva Bella holds a distinction unique among Corsican naturist resorts: it is the only thalassotherapy centre in northern Corsica. The 500mΒ² seafront wellness centre offers hydrotherapy, hammam, hydromassage, facials, scrubs, a jacuzzi and a full range of body and beauty treatments using Corsican essential oils. The resort has 145 camping pitches β some directly on the beach β and 100 rental units from mini-villas to chalets, many with sea or lagoon views. Daily free sports sessions (pilates, aqua-gym, coastal walking, stretching, yoga) and a children's club make this genuinely family-oriented. Open year-round; naturist season April to November.
La Chiappa occupies its own peninsula south of Porto-Vecchio, facing the wild Cerbicale Islands across one of the most dramatic stretches of water in southern Corsica. The 60-hectare naturist village is surrounded by fragrant maquis and has two naturist beaches of its own, both sandy and well protected from the prevailing winds β a rarer quality in the south of the island.
Accommodation includes bungalows for two to four guests and villas sleeping up to six, as well as camping pitches for tents, caravans and motorhomes β with no fixed arrival day, making it unusually flexible to plan. Two large swimming pools (one heated), a full diving centre, a watersports hub offering sailing, paddleboarding, kayaking and boat rental, and three restaurants including the beachfront Le Cerbicale with wood-fired pizza all anchor the on-site experience. The village is currently under active transformation by new management, with significant investment in comfort and facilities underway for 2025 and 2026. Minutes from Palombaggia, one of the most celebrated beaches in the entire Mediterranean, and from the historic town of Porto-Vecchio and the wilds of Bonifacio.
