Joxilox Tours Visit to the Eastern and Western Cape June 2024

Joxilox Tours Visit to the Eastern and Western Cape – June 2024 | Joxilox Tours Newsletter · June 2024 Joxilox Tours Visit to theEastern and Western Cape By Lofty and Amanda 🗺️ 4,000km Research Trip · June 2024 We have often been asked by our partners in Europe to arrange a Cape Group Tour and so we went to Cape Town and to the West Coast in December/January this year to do research, but we were unable to do research on the Garden Route and in the Eastern Cape until April. It was impossible to see accommodation and to arrange meetings on the Garden Route in December and January. Those places are much too busy in those months. In our previous article there was a misunderstanding regarding what we tried to convey. The Western Cape naturists and naturist associations saw the article, not in a positive light, although we are trying to get various naturist groups to work together. This was not done intentionally, and we offer our sincere apology. We hope the people that felt offended, will publish articles in the SANNA Newsletter in future to update us all about their progress, their goals, and their events. We sincerely wish them all the very best regarding their plans. THE POLICY OF JOXILOX TOURS IS TO SUPPORT ALL NEW AND EXISTING NATURIST RESORTS, NATURIST GUESTHOUSES, NATURIST ASSOCIATIONS AND NATURIST GROUPS. We have had numerous meetings and workshops with owners and members who truly appreciated our input and advice. We believe that new and existing naturist resorts, naturist guesthouses, naturist associations and naturist groups need to work together, and we believe that they need ALL THE SUPPORT that they can get. It is not easy to increase numbers – membership, sales, and profit, especially in the first 3 years. It is even more difficult if it is done part time by volunteers. Let’s get back to business. Joxilox Tours is always searching for naturist and/or naturist friendly accommodation for our group tours which are normally between 6 and 16 people – and some are single naturists who do not want to share a bedroom. That is a HUGE challenge for us especially in the Eastern and Western Cape provinces. That means that we need between 3 and 10 bedrooms or chalets and ALL ACCOMMODATION NEEDS TO BE DELUXE AND THEY NEED TO HAVE EN-SUITE BATHROOMS. None of our guests want to share a bathroom. Of course, the guests want to skinny dip and they like to spend as much time as possible nude. If you know of accommodation that fits that description, PLEASE LET US KNOW! Kindly send an email to lofty@joxilox.com. We managed to find numerous private game reserves in the Eastern and Western Cape areas, and we made appointments to see some of the accommodation, to see the privacy (or lack of privacy) and to find out about the excursions such as game drives (safaris). Our research determined that the accommodation prices are higher there because there are no options for self-catering. All provide 3 meals per day (Full Board) and 2 compulsory game drives per day. We would still book at those places but there are none that are private enough to go nude. We are fortunate to have perfect, affordable accommodation in the Kruger National Park Area. The other difference is that the BIG5 animals advertised there are not seen as much compared to Kruger, Pilanesberg or Dinokeng Game Reserves. We concluded that the nice Cape wines consumed on the game drives, make up for the shortage of wild animals. In Cape Town we have access to 2 naturist guesthouses which we will book for our tours. Regarding the areas outside Cape Town, we have managed to find some accommodation which can become “naturist” if we book at least half of the bedrooms/chalets which we are happy to do. Some are surrounded by wine farms and so we can go on wine tasting excursions within walking distance from the accommodation. On the Road Bare Necessities, Wilderness & the Naked Truth While we were doing our research, we stayed at naturist accommodation – Bare Necessities near Swellendam. We have known Neels and Petro of BN for more than 10 years. They previously owned a house at SunEden. It is impossible to spend time at BN without being spoilt with very tasty meals and we had long discussions about naturism of course. You will not meet a nicer couple. If you have not been to Bare Necessities, we suggest that you go there. Yes, naked Amanda did milk a cow and our 33,300 Joxilox followers on X (Twitter) loved the picture. After that we stayed in Wilderness where there is unfortunately no naturist accommodation. We had a meeting with a naturist in the George/Mossel Bay area who will hopefully promote naturism in that area. We then drove to Port Elizabeth where we stayed with Chris and Karen, the owners of the Naked Truth Naturist Guesthouse. We have also known them for more than 10 years. We were reminded about that time, 10 years ago, when Serge and I (Lofty) – representing SANNA, visited Chris and Vaughn to discuss the possibility of establishing the Eastern Cape Naturist Association (ECNA) in PE. It was never established because they need more potential members, but Chris has been a member of the SANNA MANCO since then – representing the naturists from the Eastern Cape. About 6 years ago, Amanda and I joined about 8 of the Eastern Cape naturists at the Tsitsikamma Lodge where we hiked on the Striptease Trail. We were meant to strip slowly as we hiked from pool to pool but of course all of us were experienced naturists who did not wait until the final pool – which is called the Full Monty (or Kaalgat Pool). The Honeymoon Pool, Boobs Pool and other pools were nice but who likes wet, uncomfortable clothing on our bodies? NOBODY! The self-catering accommodation at Naked Truth was “WOW” so we highly recommend

Joxilox Big 5 Safari Group Tour March 2024

Joxilox Big5 Group Tour, March 2024 | Joxilox Tours Newsletter · March 2024 Joxilox Big5 Group Tour,March 2024 By Lofty and Amanda 🦁 The Very First Joxilox Big5 Safari Group Tour! As Tour Operators, we quickly learnt that many of our international guests want to see the Big5 wild animals (Elephants, Rhinos, Buffaloes, Lions and Leopards) and most of the guests have heard about the Kruger National Park in South Africa. In the past we have taken guests to the Dinokeng Game Reserve which is only a 30 minute drive from SunEden and to the Pilanesberg Game Reserve which is a 2,5-hour drive from SunEden. We had never arranged tours in the Kruger National Park which is about a 6-hour drive from SunEden. That got us thinking, why don’t we arrange a Big5 Safari Group Tour which can go to Kruger, Pilanesberg and Dinokeng. We did research, and the Joxilox Big5 Safari Group Tour was born. We found accommodation near all 3 of the game reserves which was either naturist or naturist friendly and nudity was possible if we booked enough rooms. The first tour was arranged for March, 2024. We had an enquiry from 3 persons who are from Lake Como, the famous naturist resort in Florida, USA. They wanted to attend the February Naked Tour and they also wanted to attend the Big5 Safari Tour. We also received enquiries from a French couple and a single lady from the USA for the March 2024 Big5 Safari Group Tour. We arranged a special Big5 Tour in the last 2 weeks of February for the first group of 3 and another Big5 Tour in the first 2 weeks of March 2024 for the other group of 3. Our Joxilox Tour business has been growing nicely and so we decided to buy a second-hand VW Kombi, which is an 8-Seater Mini-Bus. We could easily fit 5 including Amanda and myself into the new transport. Expensive, hired Mini-Busses were now a thing of the past. We kept our double cab bakkie for additional transport. The weather was very hot and sunny for both Big5 Safari Tours with occasional rain at night. Our Marloth Park/Kruger accommodation was perfect, and many wild animals and birds visited us at the house every day. We were nude most of the time there. We also went on EARLY MORNING Game Drives in Kruger each morning. Our tour guide, Glen, who owns Southern Kruger Safaris, is amazing and highly experienced so we saw everything on our long list except for Cheetahs, which we saw at Dinokeng. There was load shedding sometimes but luckily there were inverters and batteries which ensured that we had power for WiFi and fans etc. At Marloth Park we had dinners at various restaurants and our guests were suitably impressed. At Pilanesberg, the Italian owner of the guesthouse is a highly experienced chef, so the food is always delicious there. We spend most of the time nude in the guesthouse and skinny dipping. We often stop for lunch on our way, so we stop at places like Alzu where our guests saw Rhinos, Buffaloes and various types of bucks. On the way, we surprised our guests by taking them to the Lesedi Cultural Village for the cultural show and for the African Food (Including Kudu, Crocodile, and other types of meat). Some of our guests also went to the Lion and Cheetah Sanctuary, near SunEden, where they stroked a Cheetah. We had breakfast at Veldjie Kiosk in Dinokeng which included “Rooster Koek” and “Moer Koffie”. Our guests really enjoyed the tours because many have already booked tours to be held later this year and for tours in 2025. In November this year we will host a couple from Germany for the 5th time. Our guests have mostly become our close friends. Naturists on a Big5 Safari Tour in Africa – nude in nature – what more could you wish for? Please see our Group Tours at www.joxilox.com. Joxilox Naked Group Tour Feb 2024

Joxilox Naked Group Tour, February 2024 | Joxilox Tours Newsletter · February 2024 Joxilox Naked Group Tour,February 2024 By Lofty and Amanda 🌿 The Very First Joxilox Naked Group Tour! In March, 2023, we were chatting to an Australian couple who were attending our Mpumalanga and North West Tour and they mentioned that our tours are great but that they wished that they only stayed at naturist accommodation – rather than at some textile accommodation. That got us thinking, why don’t we arrange a Naked Tour which can go to 4 different naturist resorts. We did our research, and the Joxilox Naked Group Tour was born. The first tour was arranged for February, 2024. We normally have a maximum of 8 people on our group tours, but we received bookings for 9 guests which we were happy to accept. There were 3 people from the USA, a couple from Sweden, a couple from Britain and of course, the Australian couple who had planted the Naked Tour idea. The tour started at SunEden on Friday, 8th February and the 9 guests rested on the Saturday and Sunday. There are always a lot of shareholders and locals at SunEden on weekends and so our international tourists got to know some of them. As usual, the comments were mostly about how friendly everybody is and what lovely facilities there are at SunEden. On the Monday, we drove to Lauma Aurora, between Bela Bela and Thabazimbi. The owners are Lourens and Sonette and they really know how to make everybody feel welcome. We arrived in time for lunch and within a few minutes lunch was served. The dinner was a special South African dish – Oxtail. Loadshedding was new to our guests but the meals were served on time. Tuesday was a relaxing day so the outdoor and indoor pools were popular and some of our guests played pool, darts, mini-golf and some board games. Others read books and read the South African Naturism Book. Our guests enjoyed their first braai (barbeque) that night despite rain, thunder and lightning. The food was excellent. The following day was Wednesday, 14th February, which was of course was Valentine’s Day and we were spoilt with a Special Valentine’s Breakfast which included heart shaped watermelon pieces. The food was great, and the hosts were super – we left after the delicious breakfast, and we were sad to say goodbye to Lourens and Sonette. Our next excursion was “Adventures With Elephants” – not far from Lauma Aurora. Our guests really enjoyed the “show”. The elephants did all sorts of tricks including dancing, remembering names, matching shoes with our guests, hugs by our guests and of course the surprise water shower from the trunks of the elephants. Our Valentine’s Lunch was at the Beestekraal Station Restaurant about 34kms from Brits, with heart shaped Lindt Chocolates arranged by Amanda with the owner of the restaurant. We arrived at Kiepersolkloof in time for dinner which was a choice of either Lamb or Chicken Potjie. Our guests really enjoyed the meal. Wynand and Zelda were great hosts, and they certainly impressed our guests. On the Thursday, JJ and Maryke arrived and they were kind enough to take our tourists on an enjoyable hike. The Kiepersolkloof farm is more than 200 Hectares and there are great hikes. The braai on the Thursday night was enjoyed by everybody and we were pleased that some of the shareholders joined us for the dinners. On the Friday morning, we enjoyed a big breakfast and then we drove to SunEden for the Valentine’s Weekend. Our guests saw SunEden when it was very busy, and some enjoyed the dancing on the Saturday night. On the Sunday, we drove to Bird Of Paradise in Vanderbijlpark where we were welcomed by Dave and Deon. Everything was perfect. They are known for delicious food, great service and attention to detail. We had another braai on the Sunday night and Paella on the Monday night (their signature dish). The two-hour boat cruise was fantastic, and it included delicious platters for lunch. On the way back to SunEden, we surprised our guests by taking them to the Lesedi Cultural Village for the show and for the African Food (Including Kudu, Crocodile and other types of meat). The final 3 days of the Naked Tour were spent at SunEden and included a few Safaris (Game Drives) where our guests saw 3 of the Big5 – Elephants, Rhinos and Lions. They also saw Cheetahs, Giraffes, Zebras, Wildebeest, Impalas, Springboks, Warthogs and other animals. Naturists on a NAKED TOUR in AFRICA – what more could you wish for? Please see www.joxilox.com.
