Our October 2024 Naturist Group Tour was completely different compared to the Big5 Group Tours. The main idea is for our guests to visit 4 of our leading Naturist Resorts in South Africa. The guests arrived at SunEden and relaxed for the weekend. On the Sunday, they went on a safari in the Dinokeng Game Reserve.
On the Monday, we drove to the Bird of Paradise Naturist Resort. We were impressed with the new bedroom which has an en-suite bathroom. The owners, Deon and Dave, are great hosts who made our guests feel very welcome and the food is always delicious. The pub, restaurant, pool and jacuzzi are all perfect. Dave and Deon are landscape gardeners, so the gardens are magnificent.
On the Tuesday, we enjoyed a nude cruise on the Vaal River with delicious food platters, cold refreshments and great music. The weather was super for boating and for tanning. We spent that afternoon relaxing in the pool area. The dinner was "wow" food again. After breakfast on the Wednesday, we said our goodbyes and we drove to our next naturist resort which was Lauma Aurora in the Limpopo Province. The resort is in Thabazimbi off the Bela Bela road. We had lunch on the way and then arrived at the resort late that afternoon. The owners, Lourens and Sonette, always make our guests feel welcome.
There are 6 cottages at Lauma Aurora, an outdoor pool, an indoor heated pool, 2 Jacuzzis, a pub, a restaurant, a games room and mini golf. The gardens are very beautiful. One of our guests does Yoga every morning and she enjoyed the lawns and gardens. The meals were delicious, and the barman kept our glasses full. On the Thursday, we went to Adventure with Elephants. Joxilox Tours has been in business for more than 10 years and that was by far the most popular excursion enjoyed by our guests. For the first time, our guests decided to bath with elephants โ they call it an elephant spa. The highlight was when the guests held on to the tusks and were tossed into the water.
On the Friday, we had breakfast and then we drove to SunEden for another relaxing weekend. On the Sunday our guests enjoyed a safari in the Dinokeng Game Reserve and in the afternoon, they attended a tour in the Lion and Cheetah Sanctuary which they really enjoyed. We made lovely videos of our guests stroking a cheetah. On the Sunday night we had an enjoyable South African Braai (Barbeque) which was enjoyed by everybody.
On the Monday, after breakfast, we drove to the Desnudo Naturist Resort which is certainly one of the most upmarket naturist resorts in South Africa. Desnudo is in Centurion but not far from the Lanseria Airport off the road to Hartbeespoort. After unpacking, we relaxed around the pool while some of our guests walked next to the stream. Desnudo has 8 bedrooms and a cottage with 2 bedrooms so a total of 10 bedrooms. Some are Luxurious, some deluxe and others standard/eco. The pub, restaurant, lounge area and pool area are all first class.
While at Desnudo our guests went to the Lesedi Cultural Village, the Harties Cableway, the Rhino and Lion Park and Maropeng โ in the Cradle of Humankind. The road to Desnudo is much better than roads to any other naturist resorts in South Africa. The owners are Jacques, Charl and Beaunette and the Manager is Laura who is amazing. The meals were delicious, and the pub service was great. Some of the guests tried to catch fish in the beautiful stream. The Yoga lady found a spot next to the stream where she also meditated.
Our guests all enjoyed the tours, and some will be back again in the future. Our Joxilox Tours website has listings, itineraries and brochures online of all the 2025 Group Tours. We already have some bookings for most of those tours so book your place now. You can send an email to lofty@joxilox.com.
